Biography of Temp Smith
Temp Smith’s diverse and extensive experience has involved business and personal transactions, commercial litigation and administrative law. He has litigated cases in the court of common pleas and the federal district court and has briefed and argued more than 110 cases in Pennsylvania’s appellate courts.
Years spent as a litigator have also equipped him to counsel clients as to the best ways to accomplish goals while staying out of court.
He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, where he chairs the Appellate Practice Committee, and a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. The Martindale Hubbell Legal Directory rates him “AV,” its highest rating for legal ability and ethics.
Mr. Smith received his undergraduate degree from Washington & Lee University and his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. A native of Mt. Lebanon, where he and his wife, Lea, have raised a successful son and daughter, he is an active member of the Southminster Presbyterian Church, involved in local politics and an avid musician.
